On a regular day, my favorite part of going to the office is seeing other Bazaar editors’ outfits. The feeling only gets stronger during New York Fashion Week. Watching models stomp down the runway and meeting designers backstage comes with a sense of occasion that demands our very best outfits, even with an abbreviated calendar and sweltering temperatures this week in Manhattan. From Ralph Lauren’s highly anticipated return to the calendar and Peter Do’s first collection as creative director of Helmut Lang, to the wave of exciting new talents like Grace Ling and Buci, the spring/summer 2024 season is a moment worth getting dressed for.

In the spirit of starting Fashion Week strong, I asked Bazaar editors to share the work outfits they’re wearing to take in the spring 2024 collections. We’re all about heightening our senses of style with dramatic dresses, holy-grail heels and flats, and a dash of tailoring—and we’re not letting a heat wave get in the way of looking good. After all, being well dressed is our collective job, and what is Fashion Week but a shiny, high-octane day at the office?

“Throughout the week I’ll be wearing some of my favorite floral colorful pieces from Marina Moscone, Khaite, and Tory Burch, with some tailored separates sprinkled in. Tailoring for the most part usually goes back to my typical uniform, and although it’s after Labor Day, I’m not ready to give up on white trousers just yet! I’ll be wearing these to shows with Attersee’s charcoal vest. It’s the perfect pairing that especially works well with this weather.
